  • Regular School Election - November 8, 2016

    The Pickford Public School Board of Education has 4 four-year terms that will expire on 12/31/16. 

    Nominating Petitions for School Board Candidates, along with Affidavits of Identity are available in the Superintendent's office.

    The petition filing deadline for Local School Board Candidates is July 26, 2016 - 4:00 p.m. at the Chippewa County Clerk's Office.

    Number of signatures required: Minimum of 6-Maximum of 20. (In leiu of a petition, candidates can pay a nonrefundable filing fee of $100.)

    A school board member must be, on the date of the election, a U.S. citizen; at least 18 years of age; a resident of Michigan for at least 30 days; a resident of the school district on or before the 30th day prior to the date of the election; and a registered voter in the school district where he or she is a candidate.

    Parents:  The school district does not provide any type of health or accident insurance for injuries incurred by your child at school.  As a service to students and their families, our school is making available a student accident insurance plan for your child.  The district offers this program because of trends in rising family health and dental insurance costs, increased deductibles, co-payments, or lack of health or dental insurance.  Please visit the link below for more information.
